Get involved

Edmonton Go Tech Meetup is community-run, and there are several easy ways to take part. You don't need to be an expert — you just need to be curious.

Give a talk

Short talks are welcome and encouraged. A lightning talk is 15 minutes, and you can talk about:

  • a problem you solved at work
  • a Go feature, library or pattern
  • an open-source tool you use (PostgreSQL, Incus, ZFS, Grafana…)
  • something you built, broke, or are still figuring out

Reach out with a topic and a rough title, and we'll find you a slot.

Suggest a topic

Want a night on PostgreSQL performance, containers, storage or something else? Tell us. The program is shaped by what people want to learn.

Host or sponsor

We meet at Edmonton Unlimited. If your company would like to host a night or sponsor pizza, get in touch — no sales pitches required.

Organize

A meetup runs best with more than one organizer. If you'd like to help keep things consistent, we'd love the help.

Come along

The simplest way to get involved is to show up. Beginners, career-changers, students, homelabbers and seasoned engineers are all welcome.
